Ginger Zingiber officialness Essential Oil

Ginger (Zingiber officialness) has a spicy aroma historically used to reduce symptoms from injury, nausea and travel sickness. Ingesting the root has many other uses not associated with aromatherapy. The essential oil is often added to massage oils for deep penetration. In a blend, ginger can be used as a middle or high note.

 Ginger thins the blood. I do not recommend it for chemotherapy patients or any condition that hemorrhaging is possible, easy bleeders or those on blood thinners. 

It is not recommended for pregnant, nursing mothers or children under 12.

The spicy aroma is perfect for Oriental blends. It also blends well with citrus, Coriander, Nutmeg, Rosewood, Cedarwood, Cabreuva, Cardamom, and Frankincense. A light touch can accent Rose and Jasmine with a little pizzazz! Use sparingly.
