Angelica Root Essential Oil, Angelica archangelica

Angelica Root (Angelica arch angelica) has an earthy aroma that was historically used to beautify the skin. The aroma is very grounding and used as a low note, or base for aromatherapy blends. A low note is added first and holds the aroma of the other essential oils for up to 24 hours when worn.  This essential oil has a very earthy scent. A few drops are all that is necessary in a blend.

 Avoid during pregnancy or with children under 5 years old. The essential oil is made from steam distilled roots. In Medieval times, Angelica root was worn or dispersed in the home for protection and cleansing, also providing a balance of natural oil for the skin. It has been used in aroma blends to promote beautiful skin.
